MEMBERSHIP 2011/12

With the help and strength of our growing membership, CWC hopes to continually raise, develop and enhance the profile of quality providers across all of Cheshire and Wirral, and to have some genuine influence on the environment you work in, and the quality of care our members can deliver. 

We hope, nationally, that the political commitment to ‘world class services’ and a ‘world-class workforce’, both oft-quoted phrases of late, goes beyond the rhetorical in 2012 and addresses all aspects of how we deliver, regulate and fund quality care.  

The challenges for 2011/12 include broadening the focus beyond older people’s services and addressing more effectively the needs of providers working with younger adults, and in mental health and learning disability fields and, ultimately, with children’s services, too. Efforts must be made to improve the dialogue between care providers, local authorities and health bodies. This will require strength, committment and patience.  

Don’t underestimate the importance of the internet in 2012. A modern PC and broadband (and the ability to use them!) are now basic tools of the trade for any business. In developing our new website we would encourage all CWC members to fully utilise the FREE listing on the website that your membership entitles you to. Hundreds of thousands of people can access this information from all over the country when looking for a care provider for a relative or friend, just contact us with a descriptive write up and we'll make sure they can see you. 

CWC has worked hard, and continues to do so, to develop a huge range of financial benefits for its members. Some of the biggest suppliers to the care sector, Complete Care Shop, Brakes, Wilson Electrics, SimplyUnite and Citation now offer our members substantial discounts on there products, and these benefits continue to grow. We also offer our members business support services from the likes of Santander, Aon, Brunswicks and Fleet Alliance, again these services are normally discounted and in some cases FREE.
